This is a wiki about scheme theory with a focus on giving usable foundational definitions and results. The format should be fairly familiar. Basic rules:

  • The top portion of any article should consist of a formal mathematical definition of the subject. History, intution, related results, etc. should go in sections below this.
  • If a given mathematical object or theorem can be formulated in increasing levels of generality, the article should start with the definition appropriate to a first introduction to schemes, e.g. at the level of Hartshorne. Generalizations (or, in the other direction, motivating special cases) can be formulated in their own section below.
